The Mumbles
Walking Tour
Swansea is the second city of Wales, and The Mumbles is its foremost neighbourhood. Now a prominent suburb of the city, it was once very much a separate town of it's own with its own history, origins, industry and identity, which is clearly visible and prominent in local life today.

People have been based on the headland for thousands of years, with potential Roman and Viking influence precedding the arrival of the Normans and the formation of the prominent Oystermouth Castle.

Throught the generations the village has ben notable for it's influence in heavy industry, sea life, World War 2 and the development of train travel.

On this two hour private walking tour of The Mumbles, discover the history of the neighbourhood from some of the area's most picturesque views at what is the gateway to the Gower Peninsula.
